SchoolBullyingInnowadays,aseriesofeventshavebroughttheissueof“SchoolBullying”intopublicfocus.Schoolbullyingisatypeofbullyingthatoccursinaneducationalsetting,usuallyinprimaryandsecondaryschools,anditmayhappenintheschoolcampus,onthewaytoschoolorhomeandduringtheschooleducationalactivities.Theperpetratorcanbeteachers,classmatesoroutsidepersonnel,whodeliberatelyabuselanguage,bodystrength,network,equipment,etc,toinfringetheteachersandstudentsphysicallyorpsychologicallywiththedamageoftheirfame,powerorproperty.Physicalbullyingisanyunwantedphysicalcontactbetweenthebullyandthevictim.Thisisoneofthemosteasilyidentifiableformsofbullying,andalsoitwillcauseaseriousconsequence.AmatterhappenedinHunanProvincecanbetakenasanexample.Agroupofgirlshitonegirlwithextremelyviciousway--stripoffallherclothes,slappingandevenforceherswallowinganailwhichstabbedherstomach.SuchbehaviorappearsinthewayofphysicalattackorcausesphysicalproblemisPhysicalbullying.Thedifferencebetweenphysicalbullyingandschoolyardfightarethat:schoolyardfightusuallycausedbysomeconflicts,andfightbetweentwoorseveralpeopleswithlittledamage.Moreimportantly,theconflictsamongthem,infact,couldbesolvedifthetwopartswouldliketokeepcalmandpreventitbecomingserious.However,physicalbullyingisakindofactionthathappenedmorecasually,usuallyisagangtooneortwopeoplewhoareinferiorposition.Besides,physicalbullyingusuallyhasthecharactersofcontingencyandcontinuity.Psychologicalbullyingisanyformofbullyingthatcausesdamagetoavictim’spsycheandemotionalwell-being,whichincludesspreadingmaliciousrumorsaboutpeople;gettingcertainpeopletoganguponothers;ignoringpeopleonpurpose(viathesilenttreatmentorpretendingthevictimisnon-existent);belittling,makingfunofpeople,orsayinghurtfulthings.Allofthesephenomenonscanbefoundintoday’scampus,forexample,somestudentsrefusetotakewithonewhomaybehavesomediseasesorinability,ortheyjusthavesomeconflicts,butsuchbehaviorwillincreasepressureforone’smindandevencausepsychologicalproblems.Thatiswhatwecalledcoldviolence.Inaddition,someformsofphysicalbullyingcanalsocausepsychologicalharm.Thedegreeoftheharmandpsychologicalqualityofvictimarethetwokeyfactorsofcausingsuchharm.Forinstance,ifagirlwhowasnotonlysubjectedtoviolence,butsufferedsexualharassmaybementalbreakdownfearingpeopleclosingtoher.SchoolBullying,nomatterwhattheformis,physicalorpsychological,willbringpainfulexperiencetovictim,andevenmakewidelyinfluenceinsociety.Therefore,itistimeforustoestablishacompleteSchoolSafetySystemtoprotecttherightsofteachersandstudentsandhelpstudentformahealthypsychology.Onlyinthiswecanwemakeprogresstowardharmonioussociety.
