ReadingReport——StrayBirdsStrayBirdsisoneofTagore’scollectedpoems.Itincludesabout300poems.Tagoreisanexcellentpoetandartist.Duringhislifehewrotealotofpoems,likeStrayBirds,theCrescentMoon,theGardener,FlyingFireandsoon.Mostofthemhavethesametheme:love,natureandthinkingaboutlife.PoemsinStrayBirdsarenotlong,andsomeofthemarejustasentence.Thefirsttimeyoureadthesepoems,justlikeintheearlysummermorningafterastorm,andyouopenthebedroomwindow,youwouldfeelapureandpeaceworld.Everythingissofreshandbeautiful,butthemeaninginthesepoemsissoprofoundthatyoucan’tstopthinkingitagainandagain.Dayandnight,streamsandoceans,freedomandbetrayal,havebecomeoneunderTagore’spen.Thoseshortsentencesshowaprofoundphilosophyoflife,andleadtheworldtoexplorethesourceoftruthandwisdom.“Oncewedreamtthatwewerestrangers.Wewakeuptofindthatweweredeartoeachother.”Idonotrememberhowmanytimeswhenthistextdriftintomymind.Thereisalwaysasomewhatinexplicablemoved.Shortsentenceandfewwords,fromthemyoucanfindareallycomfortandwarminthisboringandnoisyworld.FromTagore’swords,Ifeelhisattitudetoloveandthinkingoflove.“YousmiledandtalkedtomeofnothingandIfeltthatforthisIhadbeenwaitinglong.”Itshowsthedeeplove.Withoutdoubt,Tagore’inspirationcomesfromlife,buttheyarehigherthanlife.IlikelistensomelightmusicwhenIreadthe“StrayBirds”.JustimagineIwereabird,flyingintheblueskyfreely.ThanksTagoreleftussobeautifulandwisdomthought.
