医学英语常见错误

1.抽象名词后加s如intakes应为intake（摄入量）2.形容词加s如five-yearssurvival应为five-yearsurvival（五年生存率）thetwenty-yearsperiod应为thetwenty-yearperiod（廿年期）3.不熟悉拉丁词的复数变化如Thedatawasanalysed.应为Thedatawereanalysed（分析数据）thesephenomenon应为thesephenomena（这些现象）4.近义词的乱用如themostsatisfiedeffect应为themostsatisfactoryeffect5.措词不专业在医学文献中需要使用专业词汇，如“严重性”不应使用degree，而应使用severity；又如在医学论文中应使用severe，moderate与mild分别来描述严重程度的“重度”、“中度”和“轻度”，而不用serious，middle和slight。6.句首使用阿拉伯数字如14patientwerereviewed...在句首的话应写成Fourteenpatientswerereviewed...（总结了14位患者，...)7.介词乱用如relatedwith应为relatedto（与...有关）patientofemphysema应为patientwithemphysema肺气肿患者casewithasthma应为caseofasthma哮喘病例8.拼写接近但词义不同的词的混用如systematic是系统性，systemic是全身性parental是亲本、亲代；parenteral是肠道外的，注射的9.不能灵活使用被动语态如Addthrombinandthenobtaincompletehemostasis.应写做Thrombinwasaddedandcompletehemostasiswasobtained.10.不熟悉英文的写法如Thesensitivityhighlyreached93%.应为Thesensitivitywasashighas93%.（敏感度高达93%）includingright6cases应为including6casesattherightside（包括右侧的6例）...increasedobviously,thenreachedtoastabilizedlevel应为...increasedobviously,thenuptoastabilizedlevel（显著增加，然后达到稳定水平）betweenthe2groupsof3-7daysoflifeand8-28daysoflife应为betweenthegroupsof3-7daysoflifeandof8-28daysoflife(在3~7天寿命组与8~28天寿命组之间）11.人称使用不当如Wesuggestthat...不如用Itissuggestedthat...（建议...)treatedinourhospital宜改为treatedinthishospital（在本院治疗）12.动词时态不当（临床病例分析论文多数用过去时，不用现在时）如Thereare63femalesand25males.应为Therewere63femalesand25males.（共有63例女性，25例男性）。13.词性混淆如表达“主诉”，complain是动词，complaint是名词。PatientscomplaintofRLQpain.应改为PatientscomplainedofRLQpain.（患者主诉右下腹痛）。14.措词累赘如inyoungpatientswithdiabetes宜改为inyoungdiabetics（年轻的糖尿病患者）antiarrhythmicdrugs不如antiarrhythmics（抗心律失常药）更简练15.基本功不过硬如PH应为pH（氢离子浓度负对数，p应为小写，H为大写）
