AirpollutionWaterpollutionThereasontodothesurveyAsweallknowthattheenvironmentpollutionisveryuniversalinChinanowadays.OurgroupchoosethisprojectmainlybecausewewanttoknowhowmuchourChineseknowaboutthisissueandwhethertheyhaverealizetheservesituationofourenvironment.DesertificationThedamageofbiodiversityGarbagepollutionWhileChina’sGDPhasrisenatanannualrateof8to12percentsincethenationembarkedonopeningandreforminthelate1970s,environmentaldamagehaseatenawaybetween8to13percentofthatGDPgrowtheveryyear.Thisisbecausevirtuallyallofthecountry’skeyindustriesmining,textiles,paper,ironandsteel,chemicals,petrochemicalsandbuildingmaterialsconsumelargeamountsofenergyandcreateagreatdealofpollution.Therefore,theChineseeconomyremainsdominatedbyresource-hungryandinefficientpolluters.Asaresult,one-quarteroftheChinesepeopledrinksubstandardwater,whileone-thirdofcountry’surbanitesbreatheseriouslypollutedair.Moreover,thecountryhasrecentlywitnessedaspateofenvironmentalaccidents.Chinacurrentlysuffersfromonewaterpollutionaccidenteveryotherday.Theresultingdamagetopublichealthisamajorcauseforconcern.Truly,injust30years,ChinahasmadeeconomicadvancesthattookWesterncountriesacenturytoaccomplish.ButitisequallytruethattheenvironmentalproblemssufferedbyWesterncountriesoverthose100yearshavevisiteduponChinawithinjustthreedecades.ThecontentofthesurveyThissurveyismainlyaboutsomekindsofenvironmentalproblemsinChinaandtheservecurrentsituationoftheuniversallypollutedenvironment.What’smore,wealsofocusontheenvironmentalawarenessofourChinesepeople.Thewaystodothesurvey+Questionnairedesign——Dosurveys——Informationcollecting——Resultscalculating——Resultsanalysing——PPTmaking——Intheproject,wealsodesignedaquestionnairetosurveytheyoungpeopleinoursociety.Thequestionsinthequestionnairecanbedividedintotwoparts:ThefirstpartismainlyaboutsomeknowledgeoftheenvironmentalproblemsinChina.Wedesignedtoknowhowmuchpeopleknowaboutthem.Andthesecondpartisabouttheawarenessofprotectingenvironment.TheresultsofthequestionnaireTheresultsofthequestionnaireThepeoplewesurveyedaremainlyyoungpeople,whoseagesareclosetous.TheresultsofthequestionnaireThesequestionsareabouttheknowledgeofChineseenvironment.Wedesignedthesequestionstoknowhowmuchpeopleknowaboutthem.TheresultsofthequestionnaireThesequestionsaremainlyabouttheawarenessofprotectingenvironment.Fromtheresultsofthesurvey,theybelievetheyhavelittleawareness.TheresultsofthequestionnaireThesetwoquestionsareaboutthedivisionofgarbage.Youmayknowtherearetwokindsofgarbage,oneisrecycledandtheotherisunrecoverable.Butdoyouknowtherightdivision?Theyarerecycledgarbage,harmfulgarbage,kitchengarbageandothergarbage.Atthesametimeyoushouldknowwhatbelongtowhichkind.TheresultsofthequestionnaireThesefourquestionsmainlyfocusonthepeople’sthinkingaboutthegovernment’seffortsontheenvironmentalprotection.Mostpeoplethinkgovernmentshoulddomoretopreventtheenvironmentfrombecomingworseandworse.TheresultsofthequestionnaireMostpeoplewhoweresurveyedbelievedthatusingpublictransportations,reducingtheusageofone-offthings,recyclingpaperaregoodwaystoliveagreenlife.ThecommentsonthisissueFromtheinformationfoundontheinternet,weknowalotaboutthecurrentsituationofenvironment.Therearemanydatashowingustheservesituation,whichChinanowisfacedwith.Fromtheresultsofthequestionnaire,wecanseeouryoungpeople’sawarenessofenvironmentprotectionisbadlyoff.Andatthesametimeouryounggeneration’slackoftheknowledgeabouttheenvironmentisreallyworrying.SomesuggestionsFirst,forindividuals,theenvironmentalprotectioniseveryone'sresponsibility.AsfarasIamconcerned,itisreallyimportantforourcollegestudentstostrengthentheawarenessofenvironmentalprotection.Maybewecannotchangetheservesituationsinaminute,butwecandolittlethingstocontributeone’sefforttothecareerofenvironmentalprotection,forexample,wecanminimizetheuseofone-timeitems,drivelow-emissioncarsandusethephosphate-freelaundrydetergentpowerwhendoingsomewashing.Ireallybelievethatthecollectivestrengthisimponderable.HereI’dliketogivesomesuggestionstoprotectenvironment.Secondly,asforcompaniesandfactories,Ithinkthewaytheyproduceproductsshouldbeenvironmentallyfriendlyandtheleaderofthecompaniesorfactoriesshouldresearchanddevelopnewequipments,whichcanreducetheeffluent.Factoriescanusesomeadvancedmanufacturingtechnologiestoreducethenoiseandimprovetheircapacitiesofrecycling.Exhaustgas,wastewaterandwasteresidueshouldbewelldisposedofbeforetheyaredischarged.Thirdly,forthemedium,theycanreportthepositiveandnegativeexamplesaboutthepollutionasmuchaspossible.Also,TVandradiocanbroadcastsomepublicserviceadvertisementstoimprovethecitizens’awarenessofenvironmentalprotection.Atlast,forthegovernment,theyshouldpunishtheindividualandfactorythatpollutetheenvironmentharshlyandrewardthosewhocontributetotheenvironmentalprotection.Also,thegovernmentcanopenatip-offhotlineandtheyshouldalsoencouragecitizenstosaymore.What’smore,governmentshouldimprovethesystemofpublictransportationinordertoreducetheuseofprivatecars.Ourfeelingafterdoingthepro
