1ComparisonbetweenonlineclassesandtraditionalclassesItisatimewhenknowledgeupgradingisimportant,whichurgespeopletostudyallthetimetofollowthedevelopmentofsociety.Peoplemayberequiredtomasteranewskillortogetadegreeofanothermajortheyneverstudied.Inpassyears,whencomingtostudyacourseoracceptaspecifictraining,peopletendtoattendtraditionalclasses.Nowadays,withpopularizationofinternetandmajorityofcitizenshaveaccesstoonlineclass,anewclass,emergedinrecentyears.Peoplewhowanttohaveclassesmaybepuzzledaboutwhichoneisbetter?Comparingtotraditionalclasses,anonlineclassiseasiertoaccess,becauseanonlineclasscanbegivenwhereverandwheneverpeoplecanaccesstotheinternet,inthedaytimeoratnight,athomeorinthelibrary.However,atraditionalclasscanonlybetakeninentityclassroomataparticulartime.SeveralweeksagoIdecidedtopreparethecomingexamofentrancetograduateschools;Iwastoldasecondforeignlanguagewasamust.WhenIdecidedtostudyKoreanasmysecondlanguage,Iwentintoadilemmawhethertochooseanonlineclassoratraditionalone.ReceivedKoreanclassschedulesfromseverallanguageschoolsinthecity,IfoundthatallKoreanclasseswouldbegiveneitherondaytimeofweekendoreveningofweekdays.Noneofthoseschedulesfitmine.Whatwasworse,thoselanguageschoolsaretoofarawayfrommydormitory.WhenIworriedabouthowtosolvethisproblem,oneofmyfriendsrecommendedmetohaveonlineclass.Followedheradvice,IboughtanonlineKoreanclass.NowwhenIamfree,IcanaccesstotheinternetinmydormitoryandhaveKoreanclass.Intraditionalclasses,manystudentsstudytogether,whenquestionsarise,itisconvenientfor2studentstodiscusswitheachother.Andstudentscanalsoasktheirteachersforhelpiftheycannotfigurequestionsoutbythemselves.Butpeoplewhotakeonlineclassescanonlythinkbythemselvesanditisnotthateasyforthemtocontactwithotherstudentswhohavetakenthesameclass,neithercantheyconsulttotheirteachersintheonlineclasses.Moreover,thediscussionbetweenclassmatesorwithteachersintraditionalclassmaybuildastrongacademicatmosphere,whichattractsstudentstoinvolveinthestudy.Inthecontrast,itislikelytobelessefficientwhenhavinganonlineclassinthedormitory,wherepeoplecanbeeasilydisturbedbyroommates.Normally,theteachingspeedofateacherisdecidedbyteachingsyllabus.Thoughteachersmaymakesomeadjustmentwhenmoststudentscannotaccepttheknowledge,itcannotcorrespondwitheverystudent’slearningability.Whereaspeopletakingonlineclass,candecidetheteachingprogressmostlybasedontheirstudyingability.Becausemostonlineclassesarevideostakenbefore,whichcanbeplayedagainandagain.Allthoughonlineclassesandtraditionalclasseshavemanydifferences,andonlineclassestendtobetakenbymoreandmorepeople,itdoesnotmeanthatonlineclassisbetter.Peopleshouldchoosetheclasswhichfitsthemmost.Peoplesimilartome,astudent,whofeeltroublesometogotolanguageschoolsandhavestrongself–control,prefertotakeonlineclasses,thosewhohavedifferentsituationscanchoosetheother.
