ContractforVisitingScholarsNameofapplicant：DateofBirth：NationalityPassportno./Identitycardno.ContactaddressTelephonenumberFaxnumberE-mailaddressPersonincollaborationTheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureSouthChinaUniversityofTechnologyNovember2008TheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology,inaccordancewiththerelevantprovisionsofChinaandtheSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology,andinaccordancewithManagementofVisitingScholarsattheLaboratory(Trial),decidestorecruitasthevisitingscholar.Thetwoparties(PartA:TheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology,andPartB:),inthelegal,fairandequalvoluntaryspirit,consensus,theprincipleofgoodfaith,friendshipandcooperation,signthiscontractandensuretoseriouslycarryoutobligationsdefinedbythiscontract.1.ThecontractperiodThiscontractisvalidfromto.2.ObligationsofPartyA1)IntroducestoPartyBChina'srelevantlaws,regulationsandPartyA’srelatedregulationsoflaboratoryworkandofmanagementofforeignexperts.2)Offersguidance,inspectionandevaluationtotheworkofPartyB.3)ProvidesPartyBwithoneofficeandappropriateworkequipments.4)DuringworkforPartyA,PartyBisabletoapplyforoneindependentresearchprojectofinnovationandexplorationtype.Theresearchfundingshouldbedeterminedbybothparties.PartyBshouldfollowManagementofIndependentResearchProjectsoftheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology,andgothroughtherelevantapplicationprocedures.PartyBfillsouttheapplicationformandtheDirectorofthePartAwillbedirectlyresponsibleforexaminationandapprovalofthisproject.Day-to-daymanagementandconclusionshouldfollowtheinstructionsfromManagementofIndependentResearchProjectsoftheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology.5)Relatedexperimentcentresandsub-laboratoriesofPartAshouldofferactivesupportstotheworkofPartyBduringhis/herstay;shouldprovideagoodworkingenvironmenttofacilitatethecooperativeresearch;andshouldhaveclosecommunicationsandworktogethertosolveproblemsencounteredinworkandlifeofPartyB.3.ObligationsofPartyB1)ComplieswithChineselawsandregulations;doesnotinterferewiththeinternalaffairsofChina;respectsChina'sreligiouspolicy,anddoesnotengageinactivitiesincompatiblewithresearchers;respectsChinesepeople'sethicsandcustoms.2)ComplieswithManagementofVisitingScholarsattheLaboratory(Trial)andotherrelatedprovisionsofthemanagementofforeignexperts;acceptsthearrangementofwork,guidance,inspectionandevaluationbyPartyA;shouldnotcommittootherworkswithoutconsentfromPartyA.3)ShouldworkwiththepartnerdesignatedbyPartyAtodevelopresearchprogramme;clarifiestheresearchtopics,objectivesandexpectedoutcome,andreporttoPartyAforitsrecords.4)Completesworkonscheduleandensuresthequalityofthework.5)ShareswithPartyAtheachievementsoftheresearchproject,suchaspapers,monographs,awards,patents,etc,andPartyAmustbethefirstauthoroftheseachievements;enjoysthebenefitsofAboutResearchAwardsoftheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology.4.AnticipatedresultsDuringtheperiodoftheindependentresearchprojects,PartyAshouldpublishatleasttwopapers,signedinthenameofTheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnology,inthecoreorprimary-sourcejournals.ThebasicrequirementisthatatleastoneofthesepapersshouldbelistedintherecordsofSCI.Othernecessaryadditionsmaybeincludedinthiscontractasappendix.5.WorkingplanThisshouldbecombinedwiththatofthescheduleofindependentresearchprojects.ThedetailedcontentscanbefoundinApplicationFormforVisitingScholars.6.Managementoffunds1)PartyBisresponsiblefortheindependentresearchprojects.PartyBshouldfollowPartyA’sregulationsaboutmanagementofindependentresearchprojectsandusethefundsefficiently.Thescopeofexpenses,includestravelexpenses(inclusiveoflocaltransportationfees),accommodationduringthetenurewithPartyA,purchaseofequipment,reagents,materials,testanalysis,andothercostsincurred,andexpendituresforpublicationofthepapersassociatedwiththeresearchprojectsandforattendingtheacademicactivitiesorganizedbyPartyA.2)PartyBisresponsiblefortheexpensesrelatedtoattendanceofacademicactivitiesoutsidePartyA,investigationsandpracticeoutsidetheUniversity.ThedesignatedpartnershouldreporttoPartyAinadvance.3)Theequipmentsandmaterials,purchasedbytheprojectfunds,belongtoPartyAandPartyBenjoystherightoftheirusage.Information,acquiredbytheprojectfunds,belongstoPartyB.4)Aftertheconclusionoftheresearchproject,thesurplusfundswillberecoveredbyPartyA.IfPartyBfindsanewfundedprojectinthenextyeartotheconclusionofpreviousproject,thesurplusfundscanbeusedforthenewproject.7.Ownershipoftheresearchachievements1)PartyAhastherighttoincludetheachievementsandresearchpapersofthisresearchprojectintothedirectoryofPartyA’sresearches.2)PartyBhastherightofsignatureforthepublishedpapers.ThefirstauthormustbeTheStateKeyLaboratoryofSub-tropicalArchitectureatSouthChinaUniversityofTechnologyinChineseorEnglish.Thesepapersshouldbemarkedasbeingfundedbytheindependentresearchprojects.3)PartyBcanwritejointpapersw
