SMB-14EINSTRUCTIONMANUALABSODEXAXSERIESHTYPEGHTYPEBeforeoperatingtheproduct,readthisinstructionmanualwithoutfail.Amongall,carefullyreadthedescriptionrelatedtosafety.Keepthisinstructionmanualinasafeplacesothatyoucanreaditatanytimewhennecessary.Ver.17CKDCorporation[SMB-14E]—i—ForsafetyoperationofproductReadbeforestartingoperation.WhendesigningormanufacturingequipmentincorporatingABSODEX,checkthatthemechanismoftheequipmentandtheelectriccontrolforcontrollingthemechanismassurethesafetyofthesystem,tomanufacturesafeequipment.Tooperateourproductsafely,selection,operationandhandlingoftheproductaswellasadequatemaintenanceproceduresareimportant.BesuretoobservethedescriptiongivenunderDANGER,WARNINGandCAUTIONtoassuresafetyoftheequipment.DANGER:Indicatesanimminentlyhazardoussituationwhich,ifnotavoided,willresultindeathorseriousinjury.WARNING:Indicatesapotentiallyhazardoussituation,ifnotavoided,couldresultindeathorseriousinjury.CAUTION:Indicatesapotentiallyhazardoussituation,ifnotavoided,mayresultinminorormoderateinjuryorABSODEXanditsperipheralequipmentdamage.Thewordorwordsthatdesignateadegreeorlevelofsafetyalerting.SIGNALWORDusedinthismanualisclassifiedintothefollowingthreelevelsinaccordancewiththedegreeofinjuryorequipmentdamage.UtmostcareisrequiredforhigherdegreeofSIGNALWORD.Evenitemsdescribedunder“CAUTION”maycauseseriousresults.Observewithoutfailbecausethesesafetyprecautionsareimportant.Theproductspecificationofacustomproductmaydifferfromthedescriptiongiveninthisinstructionmanual.Checkthespecificationdrawingorthelikeforeachproduct.！[SMB-14E]—ii—DANGER:DONOTTOUCHtheterminalstripinthefrontpanelofthedriver,asitischargedwithhighvoltage,whenpowerisON.Alsodonottouchtheterminalforabout5minutesafterpoweristurnedoffuntiltheinternalcondenserdischargeshighvoltage.TURNOFFPOWERwhenmakingmaintenanceinspectionorchangingswitchesinthedriverwiththesidecoverremovedaselectricalshockcanoccur.TURNOFFPOWERbeforemountingordismountingconnectorsasequipmentmalfunction,damage,andelectricalshockcanbecaused.Donotoperateinexplosiveorfireatmosphere.WARNING:DONOTTURNtheoutputaxisoftheactuatorexceedingthespeedof30rpmaspowergenerationoftheactuatormaydamagethedriverormaycauseelectricalshock.Servooffincludingemergencystopandalarmandbrakeoffwithrotationalforceisappliede.g.bygravitymaycausetheactuatortorotate.Operatetheactuatorinthebalancedconditionsothatrotationalforceisnotappliedfortheseoperationsafterallsafetyaspectsareconfirmed.Keephandsawayfromtherotatingpartassuddenmotionmaytakeplaceduringgainadjustmentsortrialrun.Makesureofthesafetyinthefullrevolutionoftheactuatorbeforeturningitontoadjust.Makesurethatthesafetyisassuredtooperatetheactuatorincasetheunitisoperatedfromtheplaceunabletoconfirmthemotion.Thebrakebuilt-inactuatorseriesdonotcompletelyclamptheoutputaxisinallcases.Maintenanceoftheapplication,inwhichtheoutputaxismayrotatebyunbalancedload,orwhenthemachineisstoppedforanextendedperiodoftime,thebuilt-inbrakeonlyisnotenoughtosecuresafety.Makesureequipmentismaintainedbalancedorprovideamechanicallockingmeans.DONOTTOUCHtheactuatorandthedriverduringoperationorjustafterstopped.Thereisarisktogetburned.Keepawayfromactuatorsanddriversduringoperationorimmediatelyafteroperationisstopped.Otherwiseyoumaysufferfromburns.Donotstepontheactuatororarotarytableorothermovingpartsinstalledontheactuator,duringmaintenancework.Donotremovedevicesuntilthesafetyisconfirmed.[SMB-14E]—iii—CAUTION:Theproductissuppliedforusebythepersonswhohaveproperexpertiseinelectricalormechanicalengineering.CKDwillnotbeliableforbodilyinjuriesoraccidentcausedbytheusebythepeoplewhohasnoorlittleknowledgeinelectricalandmechanicalfields,andbythepeoplewhoisnotthoroughlytrainedforusingABSODEX.Donotoverhaultheactuatorunitasoriginalfunctionsandaccuracymaynotberestored.Thisisespeciallysowiththeresolverleadingtofataldamage.Donothittheoutputaxiswithahammerorassembletheactuatorwithexcessivepowertomaintainthedesignedaccuracyandperformance.ActuatorsexceptforAX8000andthedriversarenotwater-prooftype.Forusingthemwherewateroroilmaybesplashed,provideaprotectivemeansfortheactuatorandthedriver.Usethefurnishedcableonlyforconnectingthedrivertotheactuator.Installthecablesothatnoexcessivestressesareappliedornophysicallydamageismadetothecable.Changingthelengthorthematerialofthefurnishedcableshouldnotbedoneasperformancefunctionmaybelostormalfunctionmaybecaused.Standardaccessorycableisnotdesignedforuseunderrepeatedbending.Forapplicationsaccompanyingrepetitivebendingactions,useoptionalmovingcables.Thefullperformanceisnotachievedintheshipmentstate.Adjustthegainwithoutfail.Withanon-compatibletype(Htype),theactuatorandthedrivermustbemarkedwiththesameserialnumber.Withdifferentcombinationoftheactuatoranddriver,malfunctionandfailuremaybecaused.ToperformadielectricvoltagetesttomechanicalequipmentequippedwithABSODEX,disconnectthemainpowercables(R,SandTor,forGHtypeandCE,L1,L2andL3)fromtheABSODEXdriversothatthevoltageisnotaddedtothedriveritself.Otherwisefailuremaybecaused.Whencarryingtheactuator,donotholdtheconnectororconnectormount.T
