【HowtoSpeakinPart1】------------------------------------------------华丽分割线------------------------------------------------------HowtoSpeakinPart1KeyPoints(Alotoftheinformationbelowappliestothewholetest,notjustPart1.)InPart1,theexaminerismainlytestingyoufortwothings:i)everydayvocabularyand,ii)basicgrammar.Foralmosteveryanswer,youshouldgiveatwo-partanswer:First,adirectanswer(直接的回答)tothequestionandthenaddmoreinformation.A'directanswer'doesnotmeanthesameas'animmediateanswer'–a'directanswer'means'notanindirectanswer'.Indirectanswersloweryourcoherencescore.Here'sanexampleofanindirectanswer:Question:Doyouworkorareyouastudent?Answer:Oh,I'vebeenworkingforfiveyears.Thatanswerdoestelltheexaminerthatyouareworkingbutitdoessoindirectly.ThequestionasksyoutochoosebetweenAandBand,inordertoanswerdirectly,youshouldfirstchoosebetweenAandBandthenaddsomesuitableextrainformation.So,amoresuitableansweris,I'mworking.Infact,I'vebeenworkingforfiveyears.TherearetimesintheSpeakingtestwhenitissuitablenottogiveanimmediateanswer,forexample,whenit'sadifficultquestionandyouneedtothinkforasecondbeforeansweringorwhenyouwanttomakeacommentaboutthequestion.Thisisnaturalevenwhenyouarespeakingyournative(ThisadviceismoresuitableforsomePart3questions.)Beverywillingtogivetheexamineralotofinformation.(Informationincludesyourfeelingsandopinions.)Thebestway(butnottheonlyway)togivenewinformationistoincludetheinformationinthesamesentenceasyourdirectanswer.Whenyoudothis,youusuallyusearelativepronoun(关系代词)suchas,whichtomakethewholesentenceintoacomplexsentence.Showingthisskillisakeypointforgetting6ormoreforgrammarand6ormoreforthewholeSpeakingtest.Whenyougiveextrainformation,makesureitisnewinformation,notinformationthateverybodyalreadyknows.Here'sanexampleofextrainformationthatisnotnewinformation:Istudychemistry,whichhasalotofexperiments.Almosteverybodyknowsthatthestudyofchemistry(usually)includesexperiments.That'salmostlikesaying,Istudyhistory,whichisthestoryofthepast.Butifyousay,Istudychemistry,whichhasalotofinterestingexperimentsthenyouaregivingnewinformationtotheexaminer–theinformationthattheexperimentsareinterestingtoyou.Notethattherearetimeswhenitisnotsuitableornaturaltousearelative(issomething)I'vebeendoingforfiveyearsthenyouranswerwillsoundalittleunnaturalandforced.Beverywillingtospeakyourfeelingsaboutthings,(yourlikes/dislikes,yourpreferences,youropinions),evenifthequestiondidnotdirectlyaskyouaboutyourfeelings.Inotherwords,feelfreetospeakpersonally.Firstgiveasuitabledirectanswertothequestionandthen,ifyoucan'tthinkofanyothersuitableinformationtoadd,speakaboutyourfeelingsonthetopicofthequestion.Or,evenifyoucanthinkofmoreinformationtoadd,feelfreetoincludeyourfeelingsinyouranswer.Wheneveryouansweraquestionaboutyourfeelings,opinionoryourlikes/dislikes,(includingyourpreferences),(almost)alwaysincludeinyouransweratleastonereasonwhyyouhavethatopinionorfeeling.ThequestionsinPart1willcomefastandyouwillgetatotalofabout12questions,inthreedifferenttopics.Theexaminerwillquicklyintroduceeachnewtopicwithwordssuchas,Let'stalkaboutmusicnow.Listencarefullywhentheexaminerannouncesthetopicbecausethatinformationcanhelpyouanticipatewhatthequestionswillbe.Theexaminerwillusuallysaynothingwhenyouanswereachquestion,orhe/shewillsaysomethingveryshort,suchas,Ah!,Mmm!,OK,Thankyou,Good!,That'sinteresting.etc.Theexaminerwillnot(orshouldnot)discussthequestionwithyou.Iftheexaminerasksyoutorepeatwhatyoujustsaidbecauseheorshedidnotunderstand,becarefulaboutrepeatingexactlythesamewords–trytochange!Thisisbecausetheproblemisoftennotjustapronunciationproblembutacombinationoftwothings–imperfectpronunciationandanunsuitablechoiceofwords.Inotherwords,ifyourpronunciationisclearandaccuratebutyouuseanunsuitablechoiceofwords,theexaminerwillusuallynotaskyoutorepeatyouranswerbecausetheywillhearyouclearly.Similarly,ifyourchoiceofwordsissuitablebutyourpronunciationisnotperfect(butnottoobad),theexaminerwillusuallyknowwhatyousaidandwillnotaskyoutorepeatyouranswer.So,iftheexaminerasksyoutorepeatasentence,trytoguesswhichwordswereunsuitableandtrytochangethemwhenyourepeatyoursentence.Ifyouareaskedtorepeatasentence,(andyouuseadifferentwordortwo),alsotrytoclarifyyourmeaningbygivinganexample.Alternatively,youcouldrepeatyoursentenceusingthesamewordsthatyousp
