It is used to install video encoders and decoders (for example, DVS4004‐IN and DC4301‐IN) in a centralized way, and to provide power supply module and ground terminals for the encoders and decoders. The frame falls into two types: single‐power supply frame and dual‐power supply frame. The power supply status detection wire (as shown in Figure1‐2) is connected with the alarm input interface of theencoders/decoders, and used to detect the status of the powersupply module of the frame. 2 Installing the Frame After unpacking the frame, ensure the components are complete and intact according to the packing list. If any problem is found, please contact the local agent of our company. Installing the Frame Components Before using the frame, follow the installation procedures to install the frame components according to the frame type. 1234 4 Install dual‐power supply frame 1)Install the mounting brackets. 2)Install the cable guide for power cables. 3)Remove the dummy panel.4)Install the power supply module. 5)Connect the power cable connector. 5 Install single‐power supply frame 1)Install the mounting brackets. 2)Install the cable guide for power cables. 3)Install the power supply module. 4)Remove the back cover of the power supply module. 5)Connect the power cable connector. 6)Install the back cover of the power supply module. 6 NOTE! zThe frame ships with cable guide for laying power cablesand front cable guide for laying network cables. zTo install the front cable guide, refer to the installation ofthe cable guide for power cables. If our company’s rack isused, it is not required to install the front cable guide. zAfter inserting the video encoder/decoder into the frame, use ground wire to connect the ground terminals of theencoders/decoders with those of the frame. Twoencoders/decoders share one ground terminal on theframe. Finally, ground the frame to the earth directly orthrough the rack. Installing the Encoder/Decoder in a Rack with a Frame Install the Frame in the Rack CAUTION! When installing a frame in a rack, leave a 1U space high abovethe frame for cabling and heat dissipation. 1.Remove the blank filler panel from the rack where the frame is to be installed. Keep the screws for later use at step 4. 2.Install support in the rack (such as bracket slide rails or brackets). For a support fixed to the rack post, the rack post must have nuts installed on it already. 3.Lift the frame a little bit higher than the desired installation position. Put the rear part of the frame on the support, keep the front part a little higher than the rear, and push the frame slowly into the rack till the 7 mounting brackets on the frame touch the front rack post. 4.Use screws to fix the mounting brackets on the frame to the front rack post, as shown in Figure 2‐1. After the installation, verify that the installation position is correct, and the frame and the sup
