Guns&Roses+Setting-PangBo+Author-ZhangJiahui+Plot-ShuPeng+Character-HeYan+Symbolism-XiaoQing(Quinta)Guns&RosesThistalehappensinaneuropeankingdom.TwoweaverswhopromiseanEmperoranewsuitofclothesthatisinvisibletothoseunfitfortheirpositions,stupid,orincompetent.WhentheEmperorparadesbeforehissubjectsinhisnewclothes,achildcriesout,Butheisn'twearinganythingatall!Thetalehasbeentranslatedintooverahundredlanguages.Guns&RosesTheEmperor’sNewClotheswasfirstpublishedwithTheLittleMermaidon7April1837byC.A.ReitzelinCopenhagenasthethirdandfinalinstallmentofthefirstcollectionofAndersen'sFairyTalesToldforChildren.ThefirsttwobookletsofthecollectionwerepublishedinMayandDecember1835andmetwithlittlecriticalenthusiasm.Andersenwaitedayearbeforepublishingthethirdinstallmentofthecollection.TraditionalDanishtalesaswellasGermanandFrenchfolktaleswereregardedasaformofexoticainnineteenthcenturyDenmarkandwerereadaloudtoselectgatheringsbycelebratedactorsoftheday.Andersen’staleseventuallybecameapartoftherepertoireandreadingsofTheEmperor’sNewClothesbecameaspecialtyofandabighitforthepopularDanishactorLudvigPhister.On1July1844,theHereditaryGrandDukeCarlAlexanderheldaliterarysoireeatEttersburginhonorofAndersen.Theauthorwasonthevergeofvomitingafterdaysoffeastingandspeakingvariousforeignlanguagesbutmanagedtocontrolhisbodyandreadaloud“ThePrincessandthePea”,LittleIda'sFlowers”andTheEmperor’sNewClothes+Andersen‘staleisbasedonastoryfromtheLibrodelosejemplos(orElCondeLucanor,1335),amedievalSpanishcollectionoffifty-onecautionarytaleswithvarioussourcessuchasAesop(伊索)andotherclassicalwritersandPersianfolktales,byJuanManuel,PrinceofVillena(1282–1348).AndersendidnotknowtheSpanishoriginalbutreadthetaleinaGermantranslationtitledSoistderLaufde.Inthesourcetale,akingishoodwinkedbyweaverswhoclaimtomakeasuitofclothesinvisibletoanymannotthesonofhispresumedfather;whereasAndersenalteredthesourcetaletodirectthefocusoncourtlyprideandintellectualvanityratherthanadulterouspaternity.+Adersonsays:“Iuseallmyfeelingsandthoughtstowritethetalesforthechildren.ButatthesametimeIneverforgetabouttheadults.WhenIwaswritingastoryforthechildren,Ialwaysrememberedtheirparentsmaylistentoitbesidethem.+HansChristianAndersen(1805-1875)wasaDanishauthorandpoet,mostfamousforhisfairytales.Amonghisbest-knownstoriesTheSnowQueen,TheLittleMermaid,TheEmperor'sNewClothesandTheUglyDuckling.DuringAndersen'slifetimehewasfetedbyroyaltyandacclaimedashavingbroughtjoytochildrenacrossEurope.Hisfairytaleshavebeentranslatedintowelloverahundredlanguagesandcontinuetobepublishedinmillionsofcopiesallovertheworld.Guns&Roses+BorninthesmalltownofOdense,Denmarkin1805,HansChristianAndersen'slifewasnoteasy.Hisfatherwasasicklymanandhismotherwashedclothingforaliving.Hismotherwasn'thighlyeducated,butbecauseshewassuperstitious,sheintroducedAndersentofolklore.Thisencouragedhisloveofstories,plays,andthetheateratayoungage.Duetohisloveofliterature,eventuallyhelpedhimbecomeafamouswriter.Guns&Roses+Andersenbeganhiswritingcareerbywritingplaysandpoemsforalocaljournal.Then,in1835,hebrokeintonovelwritingwithTheImprovisator.TheplotofthisnovelisthebasisofmanyofAndersen'sworks.Ingeneral,Andersen'sstoriesaremostlyaboutamaincharacterwhohastofacemanyproblemswhileheorsheispursuinghappiness.Despitehissuccessinnovelwriting,itwaschildren'stalesthateventuallybroughtHansChristianAndersenfame.Guns&Roses+Sexualorientation+Hiswholelifehasnotmarried,Andersen'ssexualorientationisamatterofcontroversyinacademiccircles.Manyofhisstoriesareinterpretedasreferencestohissexualgrief.Guns&RosesGuns&RosesManyyearsago,therewasanEmperor,whowassoexcessivelyfondofnewclothes,thathespentallhismoneyandtimeindress.Hehadadifferentsuitforeachhouroftheday.Guns&Roses+Oneday,tworogues,callingthemselvesweavers.Theygaveoutthattheyknewhowtoweavestuffsofthemostbeautifulcolorsandelaboratepatterns.+Theclothesfromwhichshouldhavethewonderfulpropertyofremaininginvisibletoeveryonewhowasunfitfortheofficeheheld,orwhowasextraordinarilysimpleincharacter.Guns&RosesThetwopretendedweaverssetuptwolooms,andaffectedtoworkverybusily,thoughinrealitytheydidnothingatall.Theyaskedforthesilkandgoldthread;putbothintotheirownknapsacks;andthencontinuedtheirpretendedworkattheemptyloomsuntillateatnight.Guns&Roses+Oneday,TheEmperorsentaoldministertotheweavers.+Sothefaithfuloldministerwentintothehall,butcannotdiscovertheleastbitofthreadonthelooms.However,hedidnotexpresshisthoughtsaloudInordertopreventpeoplethinkHewasasimpleton.Guns&RosesTheoldministerlistenedattentivelytotheirwords,inorderthathemightrepeatthemtotheEmperor;andthentheknavesaskedformoresilkandgold,sayingthatitwasnecessarytocompletewhattheyhadbegun.Guns&RosesSomedayslater,TheEmperorsentanotherofficerofhiscourttoseehowthemenweregettingon.Itwasjustthesamewiththisgentlemanaswiththeminister,hecouldseenothingatallbuttheemptyframes.Guns&Roses+Thewholecitywastalkingofthesplendidcloth.AndnowtheEmperorhimselfwishedtoseethecostlymanufacture[ˌmænjuˈfæktʃə],whileitwasstillintheloom.+Accompaniedbyaselectnumberofofficersofthecourt.Theyseenothingbuttheycouldsee
