雅思7分作文1.TheInternethasdramaticallyalteredourlivesoverthepastfewdecades.Althoughsomeofthesechangeshavebeennegative,theoveralleffectofthistechnologyhasbeenpositive.Whatareyouropinionsonthis?TheInternethasbroughtsignificantchangestoourlivesinrecentyears.Yet,thereremainssomedisagreementastowhethertheoveralleffectofthistechnologyhasbeenpositiveornegative.Whiletherearecertainlyvalidargumentstothecontrary,IpersonallybelievethatthebenefitsoftheInternetfaroutweighitsdrawbacks.Thesebenefitsaretwofold.Firstofall,itisanindisputablefactthattheInternethasrevolutionizedthewaywecommunicate.Despitetheriskofsocialisolation—aproblemoccasionallyseeninpeoplewhospendtoomuchtimeattheircomputerterminalratherthanrelatingtopeopleintherealworld---mostofushavebenefitedgreatlyfrome-mailandinternetchatprogramslikeMSNMessenger.Theseincrediblyusefulandpowerfultoolsofcommunicationfacilitatebothcontactwithlovedonesinfarawayplacesandglobaltrade.Equallyimportantly,though,theInternethasplacedtheentireworld(andalloftheinformationinit)atourfingertips.Inearliertimes,conductingresearchentailedlonghourssearchinglibraryshelves.Now,however,thesameinformationcanbeaccessedattheclickofabutton.Admittedly,notalloftheinformationavailableontheInternetisreliableorhelpful---thereisavastamountofmaterialonlinethatsomewouldconsideroffensiveordangerous,rangingfrompornographytoinstructionsonhowtomakebombs.Nonetheless,Iwouldcontendthatthisfreeflowofinformationhasgenerallybeenaverypositivedevelopment.Bywayofconclusion,IonceagainreaffirmmypositionthattheInternethashadapositiveimpactonmodernlifebecauseofitsinfluenceoncommunicationandtheflowofinformation.2.Fastfoodisnowuniversallyavailableinmostcountriesandisbecomingincreasinglypopular.Somefeelthatthisisapositivetrend,whileothersdonot.Whatareyouropinionsonthis?Thepast50yearshaveseenadramaticincreaseintheavailabilityoffastfood.Somelauditsconvenienceandrelativelylowcost;however,inthisessayIintendtoarguethatthiskindoffoodisdetrimentalbothtotheindividualsthatconsumeitandtosocietyatlarge.Therearetwoprimaryreasonsforthis.Firstofthat,itisanundeniablefactthatconsumingfastfoodtoexcessresultsinserioushealthproblems.Foodssuchasfriedchicken,hamburgersandchips---whichareincrediblyhighinfatandsalt---areresponsibleforsuchailmentsashighbloodpressure,obesityandheartdisease.Moreover,althoughIcertainlyagreethatfastfoodisbothaffordableandconvenient,thecostandinconvenienceoftreatingtheillnessesitcausesinlaterlifearesignificant.Inorderwords,whilefastfoodisbeneficialintheshortterm,itslong-termeffectsaregenerallynegative.Furtherandevenmoreimportantly,though,somefastfoodchainsdeliberatelyattempttoattractchildreninordertoshapetheirfutureeatinghabits.OneparticularlygoodexampleofthisisthecharacterRonaldMcDonald---thebrightclothesandsmileoftheMcDonaldclownareabeacontochildren.HavinggrownupeatinginMcDonaldrestaurants,peoplearelikelytocontinueeatingtherethroughouttheiradultlives.ItisalsointerestingtonotethatMcDonaldprovidesplaygroundsandfrequentlyholdschildren’sbirthdaypartiesinordertoattractyoungchildrenandtheirparents.Bywayofconclusion,Ibelievethatfastfoodwillcontinuetobecomemorepopularasthepaceoflifeincreases.Giventhehealthrisksassociatedwiththistrend,Ibelievethatpubliceducationcampaignswarningpeopleaboutthedangersoffastfoodwouldbewarranted.3.Internationaltourismisnowmorecommonthaneverbefore.Somefeelthatthisisapositiontrend,whileothersdonot.Whatareyouropinionsonthis?Thepast50yearshaveseenaconsiderableincreaseinglobaltourism.Despitetheundeniableeconomicprosperityithasbroughttomanyhostcountries,Iwouldarguethattheoverallimpactofinternationalholidaymakinghasinfactbeennegative.Twooftheprimarydrawbacksassociatedwiththistrendareasfollows.Firstofall,globaltourismtendstoexportmanynegativeaspectsofwesternculture.Sinceitisonlythewealthywhocanaffordtotravelabroad,developingcountrieslikeThailandandIndonesiahavebecometheplaygroundsoftouristsfrommoreaffluentones.Inmanysuchnations,thisinfluxofmainlywesterntouristshasbroughtwithitproblemssuchasprostitutionaswellasalcoholismanddrugabuse.Admittedly,internationaltourismdoeshavethepotentialtofostergreaterunderstandingandtolerancebetweenpeopleofdifferentcultures.However,thisisunlikelytooccurwhileitremainssuchapotentsymbolofwesternculturaldominationandmoraldecadence.Evenmoredisturbing,though,istheenvironmentaldegradationthatinternationaltourismhascausedinmanypartsoftheworld.OneparticularlysalientexampleofthisistheGreatBarrierReefinAustralia---thecountlessboats,diversandsnorkelersthathavevisitedthereefoverthepastfewdecadeshavegraduallydestroyedvastsectionsofcoral.Similarly,worldrenownedKutaBeachinBalihasbecomeheavilypollutedinrecentyears.Inordertobesustainable,greaterregulationofglobaltourismisrequired.Inconclusion,thechallengespresentedbytheboominginternationaltouristindustryarenumerousandcomplex.Althoughtheyarebynomeansinsurmountable,itishighlyunlikelythattheywillberesolvedintheforeseeablefuture.4.Nowadays,morepeoplearemigratingtoothercountriesthaneverbefore.Inordertobecomeintegratedintosocietyintheiradoptedcountries,
