广西师范大学硕士学位论文“武林大会”对中国传统武术发展作用的研究姓名：邱海洪申请学位级别：硕士专业：体育教育训练学指导教师：陈照斌20090401I2006CCTV5CCTV-5II()IIIInfluencesofTheMartialArtsWorldCongressOnTheChineseTraditionWushuNameQIUHai-HongSupervisorProf.CHENZhao-binGrade2006MajorPhysicationEducationTrainingResearchorientationWushuABSTRACTAsanimportantcomponentofthelong-lastingtraditionalculturesofournation,Chinesemartialartshasalwaysbeen,intheformofbeinganexemplarymodelofChineseethnicallife,maintainingourethnicalsentiments,reflectingourethnicalcustomsandethics,andbuildingourcolorfullifeduringthepast50centuries.Itisregardedtobringpeopleintoacertainprofoundstateaswellastogivethemmorespiritualenjoyments.Sincetheclosing-uppoliciesduringMing&QingDynastyinAncientChinaandtheoverwhelminginvasionofWesterngreatpowers,therehadbeenaheavyblowfromWesternsportsculturetoourtraditionalmartialarts,whichsufferedlotsofculturallossesandthusfaceditsownbottleneckandconfusion.Someleisureandspirit,whichshouldhavebeenessentialsofmartialarts,arebeingdiminishedorforgotten,orjustputtotheperipheryofoursocialculture.TomaintainandprotectourtraditionalmartialartscanhelppeoplefromothercountriesunderstandChineseculture,maintainourethnicallifebloodandstrengthenourcohesionandconfidence;itwillsafeguardnationalcultureaswellasexpandourculturalspace;itwouldalsomeettheneedsofallsocialgroups,thustherenaissanceofChinesetraditionalculturecouldbeachieved.MainstreammassmediainChina,e.g.CCTV,shalltaketheirresponsibilityofdissimilatingandpropagatingourmartialartsandshareitwiththewholeworld.SomeliveTVprogramsofmartialartsbeingshownonCCTV-5maybeconsideredtobeaclearexample,andfromthesewecansensetheattentionournationalbureaushaveputuponsuchculturalrelics;meanwhile,nationalmainstreammediaareplayinganactiveroleinpropaganda.Thispaper,basedonaspecificcompetingprogramofmartialartsshownonCCTV-5,makesuseofdocuments,interviews,historicalresearchesandlogicalanalysistohaveastudyofthecurrentsituationofboththisprogramandtraditionalmartialarts,andwhatcontributionstheformerhasmadetothelatter.Someconclusionsaremadeintheend:1.Asakindofculturalheritagethathasgotthemostabundantsubstanceandthemostlong-standinghistory,Chinesemartialartshasbeenlongaccumulatedinsideourculturalfans,alsobeingregardedasspiritualtreasuresthatcanboostethnicaldignityandpromoteethnicalquality.However,ithasbeenendangeredbyculturalglobalizationandorganism,andhasbeenputtotheperipheryofourmainstreamcultures;IV2.TherenaissanceofculturalessentialsshouldbeincludedintherenaissanceofChina;anewopportunitytorisesharplyisgiventoourtraditionalsportsculture,whichwillsurelycausetheriseoftraditionalmartialcultureandrelatednotions.CCTV,asapartofnationalmainstreammedia,shalltakemuchdutyinsettingupaplatformforpropagatingmartialarts.TheMartialArtsWorldCongresscouldbetheveryfirstgrand-scaledprogramthatfeaturesitsthemeofmartialarts,revealingthisstate-ownedCCTVisdeterminedtodissimilateChinesetraditionalculturearoundthewholeworld,andwehavegotaspecialshowofourowntoforgeabrandofethnicalmartialartscompetitions.3.Intheculturalglobalization,martialartsshouldplayasubstantialpartinculturalpropaganda,andTheMartialArtsWorldCongresswillsurelytakethisdutytoleaddomesticmartialartsontointernationalplatform;4.TheMartialArtsWorldCongressisconsideredtobeanexemplarymodelofcombiningtraditionalmartialartswithnationalmainstreammedia,alocalizedprogramdevelopingethnicalculturalresourcesandawindowforpropagatingChinesemartialarts.ThisprogramwillhelppeopleinheritandrecognizeChineseKungfu,andwillalsodogoodtomarketing,globalizationandthemakingofseveralmartialstars,aswellasmakingabrandoftraditionalmartialarts.Somesuggestionsareputforward:1.ItisanewtasktocombineChinesemartialartswithnationalmassmedia,thussomeadministrativebureaus,departmentsandmediaareexpectedtogivetheirdueattentionandsupport;experts,scholarsandathleticresearchersaretakingontherelationsofTheMartialArtsWorldCongressbetweenstudiesofChinesemartialartswhosesustainabledevelopmentcallforpolicysupportandtheoreticalguidance;2.Inordertoachieveitsrenaissance,makeitservethemodernsocietybetterandprospertheglobalculture,weshouldbaseourselvesupondomesticmarkettofurnishtheinsidequalityofmartialarts,andthenfuseitwiththeglobalculturetofullyexposeauthenticsoulsandspiritstotheoutside.ItisalsohopedthatTheMartialArtsWorldCongresswouldalwaysbebasedupon“culture”,embeddedin“martialfighting”andmixedwithappropriatemodernelementstobetterpropagateethnicalsportscultureandattractmoreoverseasfanstotrainthemselves,theultimateaimofwhichistoleadtheChinesemartialartstotheplatformofthewholeworld;3.TheMartialArtsWorldCongresshasbeeninagoodsituationsinceitspremiereandhasattractedalargegroupofaudiences.Itishopedtoinheritsuccessfulexperiencesaswellastomakeinnovations,liketogrouptargetaudienceandlevelregulations,toexpanditsprofundityandscopewhileinpropaganda,strengthenitscooperationwithoverseasmedia,perfectitswebsite,publishitsownbooksandperiodicals,anduseinternationallyofficiallanguageforpromotionandpropaganda;V4.DomesticaudiencecanneverbetoohypercriticaltowardsthisTheMartialArtsWorldCongre
