Towhomitmayconcerned,HereIamgladtopresentmycollegeexperienceandfuturestudyplan.Myfather,asuccessfuleducator,regardsself-enrichmentandserviceforothersashislifemaxim.Onaccountofhisedification,Ihave,eversincemyyouthhood,setupthelifetimecausetorealizemysocialvaluestothefurthest.Forthebeliefthatscientifictechnologyisthefirstproductionforce,IselectedInformationalEngineerasmymajorincollege,whichisthebestrepresentativeforthenation’scontemporarystrengthofscientifictechnology.However,Ilaterfoundoutthat,insteadofthebackwardresearchofscientifictechnology,themostimportantreasonforthecomparativelyslowdevelopmentofourdomesticproductionforcesatcurrentphaseliesintheslowtransferfromscientifictechnologytoactualproductionforces.AndthestudyofsuchtransferfallsintothedisciplinenamedIndustrialEngineeringinthewesternworld,withalonghistoryofalmostahundredyears;whilethesubjectinChinawasofferedaslateasinthe1990s,andhasbeendevelopingatarelativelylowspeed,whichresultsinadilemmaofgreatcostandlowproductivityofthemostcorporations.Therefore,Ibelievethattherearemoredemandsoftalentsinthisfield,andthatIwillbeabletoachieveabetterrealizationofmysocialvaluesifinthisfield.WhatIndustrialEngineeringculturesaretalentswithintegratedknowledgeofscientifictechnology,managementandeconomics.SoIhaveintendedformyselfthestudyofsuchknowledgeduringmycollegeyears.Throughthefour-yearstudy,Ihavelaidasolidfoundationofengineeringcourses.Andthemostimportantofall,Ihavegreatlyimprovedmyabilityofanalyzingandsolvingproblemsbymeansofexperimentsinallsortsofcourses.Whatimpressesmemostistheelectiveexperimentcourseofelectro-circuitdesigning.Thelectureroncegaveusanassignmenttodisplay16differentpatternsonLCDmonitorbySCMMCS-51.Itookthechallengeasanopportunity,andcompletedthetaskafterseriousanalysis,followingstrictlytheproceduresofelectro-circuitoptimization，programmingelectro-circuitandpatterndesign.Asaresult,Iwonmuchappreciationfromthelecturer,andwasamongthefewwhomanagedtogetagradeA.Asacadreintheclassandthedepartment,Ihaveorganizedallkindsofactivities,forwhichIendeavoredtomakecomprehensiveplannings.Inthecelebrationofthbirthdayofouruniversity,IledmyteamtotheFirst-yearKnowledgeCompetitionoftheHistoryofXXUniversity.Inordertopersuadeeveryoneintoparticipation,andwinthefirstplacewiththeleasttimeafterclass,Imadethebestoftheteam’shumanresourcesandassigneddifferenttaskstopeoplewithvariouspersonalities.Finally,wewonthefirstprizethroughourconcertedefforts.Activitiesassuchbestowuponmetheknowledgeofmakingthemostuseoflimitedresourcesandfulfillingataskinthehighestefficiency.Ireadeconomicpublicationsinmysparetime,includingPrinciplesofEconomicsbyN.GregoryMankiw,GameTheory,andNashEquilibrium.IamnowpreparingforCPA’sexaminationofEconomicLaw.Lastterm,ItooktheelectivecoursesofFundamentalsofManagementandModernEnterpriseManagement.DuringtheinternshipinChinaTelecomin2006,Ididresearchoneachdepartment,summarizedtheoverallfunctioningofChinaTelecom,andfinishedmyanalysisofthesystemfromtheperspectiveofindustrialengineering.AgainIgotagradeAforthereport.IfeelquitehonoredtotakethisgreatopportunitytoapplyforthepostgraduateprogramofIndustrialEngineeringandManagementofferedbyyouresteemeduniversity.Iffortunatelyaccepted,Iwilldevotemyselfentirelytothestudy,finishthecoursewithsatisfactorygradesandcontributemyknowledgeandexperiencetotheindustrialcauseaftercomingbackfromabroad.Furthermore,Iwouldliketotakedoctoratedegreeintoconsideration,ifpossible,andbecomeauniversityprofessortoleadmoretalentsintothisfield,soasfortherapiddevelopmentofournationalsystemofindustrialengineering.
