Tobemoralornottobe,thisisaquestion.Nowadaysinoursocietyplentyofpeopledothingswithoutmoralityfortheirprofitorpersonaltargets,suchascheatingincommerce,drugtrafficking.Inmymind,theproblemofacademicethicsshouldbeoneofthemostseriousproblem.Technologyisextremelycrucialforacountry'sdevelopment,andwithoutmoralityandhonesty,theacademiccircleswouldgetintotroubleandmess,it'sbadfortheprogressoftechnology.Butnowhavealookforourcountry'sacademiccircles,copyingothers'papersfordoctoraldissertationsandpublishingbooks.Lastyear,nationalnaturalsciencefoundationcommitteedisciplineinspectionandsupervisionauditsupervisionoftheJointOfficepublictothemediathattheyreceived76complaintletterstillDecember10th2011.10ofthemareaboutcopyingandplagiarizing,while13aboutplagiarizing.Wecan'thelptoworryaboutthetechnologycircles'future.Tosolvethisproblem,weneedtofindthecausesandeverythingaboutitatfirst.Academicethicsincludescopyingpapers,cheatinginexamsandprojectfraud.Papersandprojectsaren'tsofamiliartoundergraduatestudents,sowechoosecheatinginexamsasourresearchtostudy.Attheendof2010,ChineseOfgraduatestudy,andacademicmoralStatusGroupdidaresearchtostudythegraduatesinthewholecountry'suniversitiesandinstitutestryingtofindoutthesituationandcauses.Theydiditinthemethodofquestionnaireto24universities'5450studentstostudythesituationofChina'sgraduates'academicethics.Fromthedatatheygot,theyfoundsomeresults.Atfirst,graduateshadmorecleartargetstoworkhardfor,buttheproblemswerethatmanyofthegraduatesdidn'tpayattentiontoacademicevencheatinginexamsandnon-standardreferencingarticles.Thelattertheseshowthatourcountry'sacademicethicsisnotsowell.Weshouldpaymoreattentiontosolvingthisproblem.Ourgroup'spointisthesituationofcheatingintestsandexamsinpresentundergraduates.Wewanttofindoutthecausesofcheatingintestsandexams,andwewanttogetthewaystosolvethisproblemthroughanalysethedataandthecausesweget.Wedon'tknownowadayspeople'sattitudescheatingintestsandexams.Withoutknowingthis,wecan'tfindouttherightsolutionstothisproblem.Onlyifthesolutionsmetmostpeople'sexpectation,thesolutionswouldwork.Andwearewillingtoknowthedifferenceaboutcheatingintestsandexamsamongdifferentcolleges,andthenwecouldcomeoutparticularsolutionstodifferentcollegesanduniversities.Wedidthisresearchbyhandingoutquestionnairestofourdifferentkindsofcollegesanduniversities,andrecoverthequestionnairestogetthedataandanalyseit.WechooseChongqingUniversity,ChongqingMedicalUniversity,SichuanFineArtsInstitutesandChongqingNormalUniversity.Wewanttostudytheprobleminfourparts--students'moralattitudestocheatingintests,thewaysofcheatinginexams,people'sattitudestocheatingandhowtoreduceeventopreventcheating?Wewillgetourconclusionsfromthedataandtheanalyse.
