DifferencesofThinkingPatterninArtAbstract:TheartinChinaandtheWesthashaddifferentcharacteristicbytheinfluenceofrespectiveculturaltraditionandthinkingpattern.TheChinesepeopleareconcernedmorewiththeirownbodiesinexpressingemotions,sointuitionthinkingisthemainfeatureoftheirmodeofthought,forwhichpeoplestudyobjectsasawholeandemphasizeentirety.Keywords:Differences,ThinkingPatternI.Introduction:IntheEnglishthinkingpattern,individualismisgreatlyemphasized.TheEnglishpeoplelinktheirownemotiontoplanetaryinfluenceandthenaturalelements,sotheypreferanalyticallogicthinking.Throughtheperspectivesofcommunication,artandfood,theauthorofthethesisexpectstoDrawtheconclusion:firstly,ChinesearedeeplyinfluencedbythetraditionalConfucianism,sotheycommunicatewitheachotherinamorecasualandfriendlyway.Usuallytheyrejectothers’requestmildlyandtreasurealifelongfriendship.Nevertheless,theWesternersarerelativelyreservedingreetingandrefuseothersmoredirectly.Secondly,thedifferencesarealsoreflectedinart.Chineselookforunity:aunityofharmonywhichismirroredinthedrama,thepainting,andthewordcharacters.However,theWesternersstressindividualwhosethinkingpatternsarestraightlined.Thirdly,thefoodembodiesthesedifferencesaswell.Fromtheconcepttotheproductionprocessandthemanneroffood,Chineseseekforaunityofvisionandtaste.ButtheWesternerspaymoreattentiontonutritionbecausetheyeatforhealth.IIDifferencesofThinkingPatterninArt2.1DifferencesinDramaIntheaspectofart,theauthorofthethesisfirsttalksaboutsomedifferencesofthinkingpatternindrama.Concernedwiththenameofthedrama,thereexistsadifference.TheChinesecallitthetraditionalopera,whiletheWesternerscallitdramaorplay.Thetraditionaloperacanbedividedintomanykindsoflocaloperas,suchastheHebeiopera;theChuanopera;theYuopera…amongalltheoperas,thePekingoperaisthemostfamous.AndTheWesterndramatictraditionhasitsoriginsinancientGreece.Thepreciseevolutionofitsmaindivisions—tragedy,comedy,andsatire—isnotdefinitelyknownTheformoftheChineseoperaiscomplex.Pekingopera,asanexample,isakindofsyntheticart,whichisfullofgongsandcymbals,shoutingandleaping,thatitmakesthespectator’sheadsswimandisquiteunsuitedforatheatre;butifperformedintheopenandwatchedfromadistance,ithasitscharm.ThecharactersinPekingoperaarenotonlytheperformersthemselvesbutaworksofart.Theaudienceshavealreadyknownwhothecharacterisbeforehisoperaticvocalmusicandspokenpartsbyhismakeupwhichiscalled“BanXiang”inChineseandhalfofthesuccessOnthecontrary,theformoftheWesternersbeloveddramaandplayissimple.Thereisnotadanceinanopera,andsimilarly,thereisnotasonginadancedrama.Generally,theplaysemphasizeonthechorus.Intheplays,thechorusservestounderscorethepersonalitiesandsituationsofthecharactersandtoprovideethicalcommentontheaction.Theincreaseinthenumberofactorsresultedinlessconcernwithcommunalproblemsandbeliefsandmorewithdramaticconflictbetweenindividuals.Besides,thedialogueandmonologueareverypopularformsindrama,whichemphasisonindividuals’interaction.Apopularplaypresentedbymusicandlivelyentertainmentbetweentheactsofclassicalimitations.Thenativetasteformusicandtheatricalityledtotheemergenceoftheoperaform.Then,itcomestothesubjectofthedrama.Intheeyesofwesterners,theplayanddramaisanelegantandnobleart,whichcanbeappreciatedbythearistocratortherich.Peoplewhoarepoorhavenochancetoseethedramaandplay.IncontrastedwiththeWesterndrama,theChineseOperahasitsownmerits.ThepurposeoftheChineseOperaisentertainmentandtosatisfyallkindsofpeopleandspectator.EveryyearduringthegreatfestivalssuchastheNationalDay,theSpringFestival,therewillactoperas,togetherwithotherprograms,presentingthepeacefulandhappyatmosphere.Peopleinthistimewilllookforwardtothefutureprospectsforthenextgeneration.2.2DifferencesinPaintingNationalpaintingart,oneofthetreasuresofChineseculture,isalsoastrongsupporttoprovethattheChinesehavesyntheticthinkingpatterns.Inonepainting,theremustbepictures,poems,calligraphyandthepainter’sautograph.Thefourpartsmakesuponepainting,andifanypartisvacant,itwon’tbecalledthepainting.ThetraditionalpaintingandcalligraphyofChinasharethesamesource,andbothofthemuselinestoconveyfeelingandthoughts.Moreover,mostoftheChineseancientpaintersarescholars,sotheygraduallyformtheiruniquestyle,astyleofconnectingwithpictures,poems,calligraphyandautographinonepainting.ThustheChinesepainting’sspecialcharacterscomeintobeing.ThecontentofChinesepaintingusuallyconcernwithnaturalscenery,mostofwhicharehills,water,flowersandbirds.Allofthesewillremindyouofbeautifulthings.AsifyouhadgoneintoaFairlandwherethepainterandscholarwasusingtheChinesepentodrawsomething.Allthethingswillbrashyourmindinamoment,andthisisChinesepainting’sanothercharacter.Onthecontrary,paintingsinwesternculturejustexpresstheartofdrawing.Onlyafewpainterswouldliketowritetheirnamesontheirpainting.Theaimofwesternpaintingistodescribethingsastheyare.Itusuallyfocusesononefigure,someonewhohasaparticulartypeofcharacterandappearance,orwhoisimportanttoconveyonethemeinaparticularway.Sothewesternpaintingpayshighlyattentiontorealistic.Butwhendealwiththeoilpainting,withdarkinkandheavycolor;itwillpresentan
