231123(11)1874188220046ChineseJournalofRockMechanicsandEngineeringJune2004200292820021223*400251034017209350008016031431962121983E-mail:chengqge@sc.homeway.com.cn*122(1610031)(2610059)-Rayleigh-Ritz--TD824.73A1000-6915(2004)11-1874-09DYNAMICSANDSTABILITYCRITERIONOFOBLIQUELAYEREDROCKYLANDSLIDEUNDERLOCKUPWITHCOMBINATIONOFFLANKANDBEDDINGPLANEChengQiangong1ZhangZhuoyuan2,HuangRunqiu2(1SchoolofCivilEngineering,SouthwestJiaotongUniversity,Chengdu610031China)(2NationalLaboratoryofGeohazardPreventionandGeoenvironmentProtection,ChengduUniversityofTechnology,Chengdu610059China)AbstractOblique-layeredrockylandslideunderlockupwithcombinationofflankandbeddingplaneisanewtypeofdeformationandfailureofslopes.Fortheobliqueslopesoflayeredrocks,thedipsoflayeredrocksandslopeintersecteachother,theanglebetweenthestrikeoflayeredrocksandthestrikeofslopeismorethanthirtydegrees,andthedipangleofthelayeredrocksisgreaterthantendegrees.Generallytheprogresivefailureisdevelopedofoblique-layeredrocksatthepre-failurestage.Inplane,oneofflanksisfreeduetothepreexistingfaultandsubsequenterosionbywater,andanotherflankonthemiddlepartofthedeformedlayeredrocksiscoonectedwithundisturbedrocks.Inaddition,theoblique-layeredrocksspinasymmetricallyaroundanaxisperpendiculartothepotentialslipsurfacenearthemiddlelockedsegmentoftheflank.Oncross-section,alongtheperpentialslipsurface,thedeformaedlayeredrocksarenotcompletelyshearedthroughthesurface,andthedownslopemovementinthelayeredrocksdecreasesgraduallyfromoutsidetoinsidewhereslidingisimpeded.Soaccordingtothebehaviorofthelayeredrocks,pre-failuredeformationoflandslidecanbedescribedbybendingofmultilayeredrectangularplateswithtwoadjacentedgesfixedandtheotherfreeundercombinedtransverseandlateralloads,andtheonsetoffailureoflandslidecanbeviewedasbuckling-bendingandcriticalruptureofthe2311•1875plates.BymeansofRayleigh-Ritzenergymethods,anequationofelasticdeflection-loadofplateisestablished,andthentheultimatebearingcapacityofplateisdeterminedwiththeapproachofplasticlimitanalysis.Consequently,astabilitycriterionoflandslideisdeducedandacaseisanalyzed,whichisprovedtobeeffectiveinthequantitativestabilityevaluationofthiskindoflandslide.Keywordslandslide,obliquelayeredrocks,rockplates,buckling-bending,instabilitymechanism,stability,criterion•1876•20042311•1877•1878•20042311•1879•1880•20042311•1881•1882•2004
