Inthisstudy,experimentswereperformedbytheoperatingmannerofanaerobic/aerobic/anoxic/aerobicinasequencingbatchreactor(SBR)whichwasfedwithsyntheticwastewater.Theeffectofsimultaneousnitrogenandphosphorusremovalinthesystemof(AO)2SBRwasstudied,themechanismofcoinstantaneousni-trogenandphosphorusremovalwasfurtherdiscussedcombinedwithsmall-batchexperiments.Underthefollowingconditions:DO=2.5mg/L,SRT=15d,thesystemoperatedbythemannerof1.5hanaerobic、1.0haerobic、3.0hanoxic、0.5haerobic,hadagoodremovaleffectofnitrogenandphosphorus,theremovalefficiencyoftotalnitrogen,totalphosphorus,CODandTOCforsyntheticwastewaterwas96.26%,99.87%,90.46%,85.57%,re-spectively.Theresultshowsthatthemoreamountofinnercarbonsynthesizedandthemorequantityofammonianitrificated,thehighertheremovalrateofnitrogenandphosphorusbythesmall-batchexperiments.Keywords
