CavitationAirFlotationSystemApplicationfortheTreatmentofOilWastewaterChengWeiwei(MarketingDepartment,MaiwangInternationalCo.Ltd)ABSTRACTInviewofcomplexcomponent,highCODcontent,oilcontentofwastewater,alotofsulfide,volatilephenolandNH3Nfrompetrochemicalcompany,CAF(CavitationAirFlotationSystem)wasappliedinthepilotplant.ResultsshowthatCAFisoneofthebesttreatmentsforoilywastewater,theremovalrateofoilreachesto95andoilislessthan10mg/lintheeffluentofCAF.ThemeritofCAFincludelowerelectricityconsumption,smalllandoccupation,verysimpleoperation,managementandmaintenance.IfapplyingCAF,landoccupationareacanbesavedby70%to80%,annualelectricityfeecanbesavedbyfivehundredthousandandsixhundredthousandyuanonthebasisof1000m3/hand0.8yuan/kWh,andoperationofitwillbeverysimple,resultingsignificanteconomicbenefit.KEYWORDSCAFcavitationairflotationsystemtreatmentoilywastewater*
