部分总体法（或分子分母法）图表作文很多时候会遇到百分比，很有可能会用到proportion或者percentage。然而很多同学经常会用错。怎么确保准确性呢？首先，你要问自己，这个数字，譬如说15%代表是什么整体里的一部分。整体应该是整个国家的劳动人口（thecountry’sworkingpopulation）而15%代表的是在制造业工作的人口（thoseworkinginthemanufacturingsector）常见的错误是Theproportionofmanufacturing，因为制造业不是这个圆的一部分，而是制造业的劳动人口。因此正确的表达1是Theproportionofpeopleworkinginthemanufacturingsector可以说：Theproportionofpeopleworkinginthemanufacturingsector(部分)declinedfrom15%to9.8%.正确表达2：Peoplewhoworkedinthemanufacturingsector（部分）accountedfor15%ofthecountry’sworkingpopulation（整体）.切记，当使用accountfor,makeup,represent,constitute,comprise的时候，主语不可以是figure,也不可以是proportion。常见错误1：（thefigurefor/theproportionof都不可以出现）peoplewhoworkedinthemanufacturingsectoraccountedfor15%ofthecountry’sworkingpopulation.常见错误2：(theproportionof还是不可以出现，因为后面有accountingfor)peoplewhoworkedinthemanufacturingsectorwashighest,accountingfor15%ofthecountry’sworkingpopulation.常见错误3：thenumberofpeoplewho…..错的。因为英文“thenumberof”指的是人数，而不是百分比。正确表达3：15%ofthecountry’sworkforce（整体）workedinthemanufacturingsector.学生常问问题：问题1：Percentage和proportion可否替换？回答：可以问题2：可以有什么替换词替换percentage吗？可以说：thefigurefor….举例：theproportionofpeopleworkingforthemanufacturingsector=thefigureforthemanufacturingsector其他例子例子1Thetablegivesinformationaboutstudents’opinionsondifferentaspectsofcoursestheyattendedinauniversityin2012.Percentageofstudentsratingaspectsoftheircourseas“verygood”Aspect/coursePre-courseinformationTeachingqualityTutorsupportCoursecontentResourcesBusiness62%93%96%74%58%Computing61%88%85%69%56%Maths64%64%90%72%51%譬如说你想描述62%这个数字部分：62（学习BUSINESS的学生里认为pre-courseinformation很好的人）总体：100（全部参加BUSINESS调查的人）下面这些表达是对的：Alargeproportionofstudents(总体)weresatisfiedwiththecourse.62%ofstudents(总体)weresatisfiedwiththecourse.
