NBA的由来(NBAOrigin)haveyoueverwonderedhowyourfavoritenbateamreceiveditsfamousname?allnbateamshaveaninterestingstoryorahistorybehindtheirnames.someofthenamesreflectthecity`scultureorhistory,otherscamefrompreviousownersandmanywereselectedthrough“nametheteam”contests.forteamslikelosangelesandutah,thenameswerenotalwaysareflectionofthecity.eventhoughlosangeleshasnolakes,thelakernamehasbeenacitytreasureforalmost40years.beforegoingtolosangeles,theteamoriginatedinminneapolis,minnesota.in1948,teamofficialschosethenameforitsdirectrelationshiptothestate`smotto,“thelandof10,000lakes.”theteamnamewentunchangedaftermovingtolosangelesin1960.becauseutah`steamoriginatedinneworleans,louisiana,itwascalledthejazz.in1974,neworleansclubofficialschosethenametorepresentthecityforitsreputationasthe“jazzcapitaloftheworld.”thenamestayedwiththeteamevenafterfindinganewhomeinsaltlakecity,utahin1979.thechicagobull`soriginalowner,richardklein,namedtheteamthebulls.hepickedthenamebecauseafightingbullisrelentless,andneverquits.klein,whofoundedtheclubin1966,believedthesequalitieswerenecessaryforachampionshipteamandhopedhischicagoathleteswouldliveuptotheteamname.abeliefthatbulls----winnerofthesixnbachampionshipshavedefinitelyfollowed.miamichosetheheatfromnamessuchasthesharks,beaches,andbarracudas.thenamemagicwasthewinnerfortheorlandoteambecausethecity`stourismsloganis“cometothemagic.”traditionplayedabigpartinnamingthenewyorkknicks.chosenbytheclub`sfoundernedirish,theknicksnamewasalreadyimportantinnewyork`shistory.thefirstorganizedteaminbaseballhistorywasnamedthenewyorkknickerbockersortheknickerbockersnine.in1967,theindianpacersselectedtheirteamnameinadifferentwayfrommostotherteams.theirdecisionwasbasedonwhattheywantedtoaccomplishinthenba.teamofficialschosethepacersnamebecausetheorganizationwantedtosetthe“pace”inprofessionalbasketball.
