Issue101Standard2.6.11STANDARD2.6.1FRUITJUICEANDVEGETABLEJUICEPurposeThisStandarddefinesfruitandvegetablejuice,setscertaincompositionalpermissionsfortheproductandspecifieslabellingrequirementsforjuiceblends.TableofProvisions1Interpretation2Composition3LabellingofjuiceblendClauses1InterpretationInthisCode–fruitjuiceorvegetablejuicemeanstheliquidportion,withorwithoutpulp,obtainedfrom–(a)fruitorvegetablesrespectively;and(b)inthecaseofcitrusfruit,otherthanlime,theendocarponlyofthefruit;andincludesproductsthathavebeenconcentratedandlaterreconstitutedwithwatertoaconcentrationconsistentwiththatoftheundilutedjuicefromwhichitwasmade.juiceblendmeansjuicemadefromablendofmorethanonejuice.2CompositionFruitjuiceorvegetablejuicemayhaveaddedtoitanyofthefollowingfoods–(a)forvegetablejuice,sugars;(b)forfruitjuice,nomorethan40g/kgofsugars;and(c)salt;and(d)herbsandspices.3Labellingofjuiceblend(1)Subjecttosubclause(2),thelabelonapackageofjuiceblendmustinclude–(a)thenamesofeachjuicepresentintheblend;and(b)thepercentagebyvolumeofeachjuicepresentintheblend.FederalRegisterofLegislativeInstrumentsF2009C00908Issue101Standard2.6.12(2)Subclause(1)doesnotapplytoorangejuicewhichcontainsnomorethanten%intotalof–(a)mandarinjuice;or(b)tangelojuice;orboth.Editorialnote:SeePart1.2–LabellingandOtherInformationRequirementsofthisCodeforgenerallabellingrequirements.SeeStandard1.3.1–FoodAdditivesforlimitsforadditivesforfruitjuiceandvegetablejuice.SeeStandard1.3.3–ProcessingAidsforrequirementsforprocessingaidsintheproductionoffruitjuiceandvegetablejuice.FederalRegisterofLegislativeInstrumentsF2009C00908
