PC-cluster20095PC-clusterTheparallelrenderingbasedonPC-clusteranditsvirtualenvironmentofinputdatadistributing2009.42009.5200905IPCAPI2090CAVECAVEsort-firstsort-middlesort-lastsort-firstsort-lastWireGLsort-firstOpenGLCAVEVRJugglerClusterJugglerOpenSceneGraphVRJugglerWindowsVRJugglerVRJugglerAPIXMLIIVRJugglerOpenSceneGraphIIIAbstractThevirtualrealitytechnologywasatechnologyuniversedwiththehighlydevelopedcomputertechnology.Itwasdirectedtothetrendofimmersion,intelligenceandimagination.ThevirtualrealityenvironmentbasedonlargescaleofprojectiondrivenbyPC-clusters,hademergeddomestic,andwasprevalentlyusedinthefieldofsimulation,educationandentertainment.Althoughitwasofmultiplefunctionandvaluableperformance,still,bythewayofusingthecommonlyscenegraphAPIplatformhadsomedisadvantagerespectingtothesynchronousbetweenthenodesandthecommunicationofthedevicetothesystem.Last90s,theCAVEautomaticvirtualrealityenvironmentthatwasdrivenbasedonthehighendsharememoryworkstation,wasanimmersivevirtualenvironment.Thepatternofsharememorycausedtheproblemsofexpensiveinprice,inconvienceinscabilityandsuchlike.While,byanalyzingthearchitectureoftheCAVEsoftware,itcanbeseenthatitispossibletoextendittothecluster.Inotherhand,theconventionalcategorythatwasclassifiedbythestepthepipelinedistrubutedtheelements,thesort-first,sort-middle,andsort-lastmodewasrelevated,andthus,inducingmanysystemsastheinstanceofthetheory.Amongthem,therewerenewmodethathybridthesort-first’sdistributingdefineofgraphicelementsandthesort-last’scombinationofthepixel.WireGLmodifiedtheobjectofsort-firsttotheOpenGLcommandsandthusfocusedonthesynchronousbetweenthenodesinthelevelofcommands.Inordertoexplorethenewsoftwarearchitecture,newcategorywasclassifiedintermsofscenemanagementandscenedrawing:thescenemanagementstepincludingtheinputofthedeviceanditssynchronous,thatwasthesystem’srespondensetotheinputdataandthedefineofthescene;while,scenedrawingthepipeline’sworkafterthescenedefining.Thus,therewerenewarchitecturefocusedonthesynchronousofcommunicationbetweenthecommandandtheOSwithinthestepofscenedrawing,thatwasbarelyinfluencedbythemodificationoftheinputdata.Therefore,bythediscussionofstandardoftheclassificationofpipelineandtheillustrationofthenewclassification,thepaperIVfinallydemonstratedthepossibilityofthecombinationofdistributeinputvirtualenvironmentandthemechanismofparallelrendering,bytheinstanceofretainmodeandtheimmediatemode.AstheclusterextensionofCAVEsystem’sfollowingopensourceprojectVRJuggler,ClusterJugglermainlysolvedtheproblemofscenemanagestep,thatwasthesynchronousissuefromthedeviceinputtothescenedefine.OpenSceneGraphwasthearchitectureofdistributingscenedefiningundertheclusterenvironment.Theirscombinationwasapromisingandeffectivesolution.Duringtheexperiment,firstly,thevariouscomponent’snameandfunctionoftheVRJugglersuiteswasillustrated,thenthecompile,installandsettingoftheVRJugglersoftwareintheclusterwiththeWindowsOSwasdemonstrated,followedbytheillustrationofmethologyofusingAPIprovidedbyVRJugglerandthedevelopingprocessoftheinstanceofscenenavigation,andtheXMLconfigurationwasgivenrespectively,finally,theexperimentresultedwaspresented.Basedontheconclusionofthewholepaper,theshortagewasgivenaswellasabriefprosperityofthefuturework.Keywordsimmersivevirtualenvironment,parallelrendering,VRJuggler,OpenSceneGraphV.........................................................................................................1....................................................................................................2..........................................................................................3..........................................................................................................3.........................................................................................................4..............................................................................................................4................................................................................................................5..........................................................................................5.................................................................................................6.............................................................................7...........................................................................10............................................................................111.5.........................................................................................12.........................................................................................13.........................................................................................13...............................................................................14..................................................................................................16....................................................................................................
